netia shel simcha — a joyous planting
thursday, july 1 | opening reception 6-8
friday, july 2 | first friday hours 6-9
Urban Mud Studios
530 Santa Fe Drive, Denver
This show honors life affirming, tactile work, best interacted with in person. With a heavy
emphasis on sculpture and texture, the materials own the message in this collection. Luscious
pencil marks, rusted metal, blossoming plastic, charred wood, and, sometimes, smoke are used
to communicate the unspoken. Risk is paramount, but hope, which may be all we have, emerges
from the underground. Modest but joyous inklings awaken us to the imminent season of growth
— a renewed chance to connect; to observe and to resonate with nature
